Grevelingen Creuse

Fresh Zeeland Grevelingen Oyster

The Grevelingen Creuse, also known as the Zeeland Creuse or hollow oyster, has a strikingly irregular shape and grows over a period of two to three years. This oyster is known for absorbing the flavor of the area in which it grows, similar to how wine does. The Grevelingenmeer, an estuary, can be both calm and rough, and the oyster has adapted to this.

The bottom of the Grevelingenmeer gives the Zeeland Creuse its delicate flavor, with both salty and fruity accents. This oyster also reflects the robust sea flavor of the area through a full and creamy taste.
