Smoked mussels and cream cheese, black olives and spring onion spread on toast
|1 can of Royal Dutch Smoked mussels||Pepper|
|2 big tablespoons of cream cheese||Salt|
|5 black olives coarsely chopped||Optional: garnish with garden cress|
|1 spring onion finely sliced|
Have you ever tried smoked mussels? They are soft and salty, with a delicious smoky flavour. This cream cheese spread contains black olives and chopped spring onions as well as smoked mussels. A delicious spread on toasted baguette to serve with drinks.
Drain the smoked mussels. Coarsely chop them. Mix the mussels in a bowl with cream cheese, black olives and spring onion. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer the spread to a glass jar and serve with toasted baguette.
Tip! This spread is very popular on a tapas board with some crunchy and pickled vegetables. Serve some gherkins and radishes alongside it, a ‘turn‘ of black pepper and a garnish of garden cress. Good with brown baguette lightly toasted.
